METERON is a suite of experiments initiated by ESA to validate advanced technologies for space telerobotics in order to command different robots on earth from the International Space Station (ISS) using different human machine interface (HMI) devices.

DLR  of Germany is an active partner in Meteron, along with NASA of the United States, and Roscosmos of the Russian Federation. DLR is currently spearheading the SUPVIS-JUSTIN experiment to address the local intelligence of a robot required to interpret and execute an astronaut’s command.
